Oscar Targett - Racing's In His Blood

Oscar is a 15 year old Kart driver from Australia. He currently competes in the KZ2 Australian Championship & the KZ2 Qld Series in a Charles Leclerc/TM. 

How long have you been racing? Since 2013, so currently in my 9th year. 

How did you get your start in racing? My Dad raced in Europe with a fair bit of success so its in the blood.

What is your greatest racing achievement so far? Racing competitively in KZ this year at 15 years old. Its a hard class and to be able to run at the front of the field at National Rounds is something I am proud of.

What was the inspiration behind your custom suit design? X'zuit have been a supporter of mine for 8 years now and my suits have always been designed by the team at X'zuit to reflect the team I have been racing for. 

Who has been the biggest influence on your racing career? My dad.

What would you like to say to him? My Dad is the best! He always makes sure my equipment is prepared to the highest level and ensures I have everything I need to get a good result. He has taught me so much about driving and racing and I will be forever grateful for the time we get to spend together going racing.

Anything else you would like us to know about you or what you have going on? I am a grade 10 student at Chisholm Catholic College, other than racing KZ, I enjoy mountain biking and hanging out with my friends.
